Greetings. You have stumbled across the brightly-coloured page that is Ame's profile! O: I apologize if your retenas have been burned out of their sockets, but my favorite colours tend to do that to people. XD Sorry about that.
+ My Alias is pronounced "Ah-may", and is the Japanese word for rain. It's been my handle for about five years, and I chose it because I am absolutely rain-obsessed. Nothing makes me feel good like cold, wet weather, especially if running off into mountains or forests are involved.
At Cons, I am also called Hayner or Sora, because a lot of friends I made there met me in those costumes. :3
+ I was born on September 12th, which makes my sun sign a Virgo. I've adopted a lot of Virgo's traits, but my Libra moon cancels out some of my hard-ass-tic tendancies. X3
+ I'm into all your basic geeky things, including video games, various cartoons, and, to complete the collection, Harry Potter. I don't consider myself an otaku by any means, and I haven't read manga or watched anime regularly in a couple years, but I have a big soft spot for Yazawa Ai's work, and I still love Miyazaki Films and a lot of random shoujo crap that makes me feel rather shiny (Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Precure, Tokyo Mew Mew, etc). :B I suppose Advent Children falls in that area too, and I enjoy it profusely... admittedly, a lot of that adds up to Kadaj, who is probably the tastiest man I have ever seen. Ever.
Video Games are more my speed, and I'm definately a Nintendo kid. I like my Mario games, but only for Bowser, who's one of my unofficial mascots becase he is hella freaking awesome. The Kingdom Hearts series got me through high school, and thusly is really near and dear to me. Despite really disliking the fandom, I still have a little fangirl left in me for the series and its undertones, particularly where Riku/Sora and Hayner/Roxas are concerned. I am also a shameless Pokemon fan, and I own Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Emerald, and Pearl. Wailmer is the most amazing Pokemon ever, but I like far too many others, too. There are tons of other games, too, including Okami, Smash Brothers, and various Zelda, Katamari, Banjo-Kazooie, and Sonic titles. Also, anyone who remembers Primal Rage gets a million cool points.
+ I'm a fairly rookie Cosplayer, despite being into the con scene for my fifth year now. I love going to con and hanging out with people, but cosplay is by no means a popularity contest or competition for me. I mostly like the feeling of dressing up and messing around, and I consider cosplay to be a social activity. I go to many California Cons, and this year, I'll be going to Fanime, Anime Expo, Yaoi con, and Pacific Media Expo. I hope to branch out to Sakura Con and A-kon next year, monies permitting.
+ I like a ton of music. Like, really, my tastes are infinite, I'm open to all genres of music, though I prefer techno, happy hardcore, eurodance, bubblegum dance, trance, pop, rock, J-pop, k-pop, and movie scores. I like stuff with a lot of bass, infectious melodies, and really distinctive vocals. I am horrible at picking favorite bands and artists because there are so MANY awesome musicians out there, but my three universally favorite songs are Elysium by Scott Brown, Non e Per Sempre by Eiffel 65, and Lollipop by Aqua. Seriously, though.. I have way too many favorites. XD
+ I idolize Voice Actors, and have dreams to be in cartoon work someday. Of all my idols, the top slots go to Frank Welker, Russi Taylor, Ikue Ootani, Yamaguchi Kappei, Hisakawa Aya, and Ogata Megumi. Andy Serkis gets honorable mention here, too, because he sort of counts, and he is also one of my favorite body actors, along with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.
+ Big, fat, crusty, dumb, rabid, scraggly, grumpy, blubbery, trompy, "ugly" creatures are the coolest thing in the world. I love most animals, my favorites being whales, whale sharks, rhinocerous, prehistoric creatures, marine life, and any breed of dog with a square head or a squished face. I am very strongly anti-bsl, and belive in equal love and understanding for all dogs. I am a proud lover of Pit Bulls.
+ (Not to sound like a tool, but) I have a TREMENDOUS amount of love and respect for Decora-chan. I wish that I could go back in time and visit Hokoten when it was still alive and kicking.
+ Pink is an awesome colour and I think people who are angered by/afraid of it have issues. O:
+ I love people who are geeky, crazy, crafty, creepy crawly, cute, hyper, pierced, butch, femme, androgynous, creative, passionate, open-minded, and original. I think gender, race, financial status, upbringing, and fandoms are relative, and if I click with a person, they could be a three legged alien from planet Zirtzclack and I would still give them the shirt off my back. That being said, I generally prefer those who are physically ladies for serious relationships. I currently love my girl like woah!
